Entitled "Family Ties", this is a favorite of mine for it's outrageous and funny depiction of a loving family - which they truly are!

Goofballs - my favorite kind of people! When they starting acting silly during a Christmas session, I was able to catch several moments that were composited together and then hand painted in Photoshop. Hours and hours of work, but worth every minute!

Entitled "Naughty and Nice", this painting started as a very ordinary (and not very good!) photo I snapped of my dear friends as they were portraying Mr. and Mrs. Claus, a gig they played for years! It is transformed completely by hand in Photoshop.

Entitled "This Girl Is On Fire", this painting originated as a portrait from a senior session. Her moms helped by tossing the fabric of the dress during several shots. The images were composited together, then hand painted in Photoshop.

This beautiful woman is dressed as an attendant for her friend's wedding. It was my honor to photograph the traditional and joyous African ceremony that lasted most of the day and evening, including changes of outfits, dancing, ceremonial rituals and lots of family and children.

The original photograph was captured in a hotel room where the women were getting ready.

Entitled "Do You Feel Lucky", this is not strictly a painting but rather what is known as painterly. It is not completely transformed by digital brushstrokes but is modified through the art of dodge and burn, manipulating the shadows and highlights.

The model, Vincent Pratt, is a local actor and one of the nicest people you will ever meet!
